Hormonal Evaluation

Often times, when the subject of hormones comes up, one immediately reactions
with "I don't have a hormone problem."  However, read the list below for symptoms
associated with hormone imbalances.  In short, hormones are the "chemical
messengers" that are coordinating most functions in the body to some degree.

Think of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.  Pretty impressive the number of
musicians that can play in harmony together-at the right time, the right pitch, and
the right volume.  The body's hormonal system is very similar.  Not only do we
need the "right" hormones produced, we need them at the right time, the right
volume, and in the right combination in order for our bodies to work.  Simply put,
our
properly functioning hormonal system is a finely tuned orchestra always
playing in harmony.

How do I determine whether my hormones are balanced?

To get a general idea of whether or not your hormones are balanced, take a look
at the list below of symptoms frequently associated with hormone imbalance.  To
be absolutely sure, however, we can evaluate specific levels of these hormones
with saliva testing to determine if they are in balance or out of normal range.  Talk
with your doctor about testing.
